Hey all,

Like most of us here, I'm just getting started with real estate. I've been reading books, going to meetups, and connecting with anyone I can that can give me more insight.

I'm interested in learning more about obtaining rental properties, but I'm open to learning about any methods you have found to work!

I'm located in Richmond, VA

 Hey Prashanth!

As Jonathan mentioned I'm just starting to get into the game of real estate investing here in Richmond as well.  I have a lot of experience working on the renovation side and hoping to buy my first property here in the next few months!

Looking forward to connecting with you.

There's a RING meetup this upcoming Wednesday in Midlothian. You can RSVP in the Meetup group.

Hey Chantal, thank you very much for the heads up!  Just RSVPed.

Looking for a real estate networking group? I'm forming a professional group this year in the greater Richmond, Virginia area!  Would love local professionals to come and join us.

 Hey Garrett!

As Jon mentioned above I'm looking to dive into Real Estate here in Richmond and would love to be a part of any new networking opportunities.

Looking forward to see what you put together!

Hey @Jorman Miles - You should link up with my partner @Thomas Zidron who is also in the Richmond area.  We have a GC-tech company that operates in Chicago currently, but looking to start taking on more within the Richmond Virginia area.  He can definitely help with any rehab questions!

Hey Jordan!

As Jon said I'm here in Richmond trying to start investing as well.  If you're interested in rehabbing a property I'd be happy to connect and see if I can answer and general questions you may have.

Hey there Tom!

Have you joined the local FB pages? There's a wealth of info for Chesterfield and Richmond meet ups. There's also the Richmond RING found on Meetup dot com that meets monthly.

Thanks Chantal! I'll look into that now.  Is there any specific FB group that you recommend?

Hey Richmond Investors -

I posted last summer but have been slacking on getting started/moving forward.   There's no time like the present!  My name is Tom Zidron and I have been a general contractor my whole life. I worked for a big national contractor Walsh construction and left my cushy W2 job to co-found Quality Builders a GC-Tech (general contracting technology) company in Chicago.

However, I've been helping to run the company remotely while living in Richmond the last 1.5 years.  With that said I am personally looking to start investing here in Richmond and am looking for an investor friendly agent and lender. Any referrals would be much appreciated, as I know rockstars know rockstars!

Additionally, our company will start to take on third party projects here in Richmond in the near future so please feel free to reach out if I can help with any construction or renovation questions!

Hello BP Community!

My name is Tom and I just recently moved to Richmond last year. Have been renting for too long and am finally looking to purchase an investment property.

A little background on myself is I have worked in the construction industry for ~10 years and 2 years ago started a residential construction company in Chicago. With that I’ve gained a lot of experience in renovations as well as working with lenders and different types of financing. However, I would now like to jump into it myself and would love some advice either in general or on the Richmond area.

At this time I would love to find something in need of a cosmetic rehab with intention to either flip or rent out to tenants. My biggest concern is if this is a bad time to start with the current market?

Appreciate any and all advice! Thanks in advance.
