I am first time investor looking to buy multi family homes and I have found a few that have caught my eye near major universities. I am just looking for some insight on people with similar situations are these properties normally a good buy? Do college students make good tenants? Any insight is greatly appreciated

One thing I am curious about is I have found a lot of Multi-Family homes located near universities. Are these normally good buys, do college kids make good tenants? @Salvatore Lentini not knowing if I’m getting a good deal or not the areas in Texas I am looking at are very expensive and just afraid to make a big mistake

Hello I Am 24 years old looking to get into real estate investing I have my eye on a duplex but my only dilemma is I don’t know if I should get a Owner occupant loan, or save up 20% for loan I am pre approved for investment loan, I work in construction and don’t stay in one area for long so if I did owner occupant I would even be living in the other unit
