Someone that is marketing to you through Private Messages is against the forum rules, unless it was something you consented to before they sent their marketing to you. I don't have an answer to your question, but if someone is willing to break the rules and potentially get their account locked, I would lean towards the side of caution. Especially with a website that was only registered last month. Scammers are constantly in need to create new accounts and web sites when their previous accounts were shut down from negative feedback.

Jean G. Thank you for bringing this up. I will plan to attend. It looks like a great opportunity to network with other local investors.

I am 29 and have been in the real estate business since 2010. My father is successful in real estate buy and hold investing. He has been out of the business of purchasing more properties for some time, because he is satisfied with the current income his current inventory are generating and is currently managing a large portfolio of mainly commercial and a few residential properties. I am planning to follow in his footsteps and mainly use the buy and hold method for long term profits, but I am more interested in residential properties. I stumbled across biggerpockets.com with a Google search for investing in real estate. My goal is to have a portfolio of 10 positive cash flow properties in the next 3 years and eventually own 100. I know this will take some time, but what better time than NOW to get started. With the help from experienced investors here in the forums, I know I will have the support needed to reach my goal.
