Art Frasik I don't believe your story, here's why? Your story is so inconsistent! Having 5+ properties as you said free and clear after having all your previous businesses failed in a slump as you said doesn't add up! Said the town is full of SSI and food stamp people and yet you made the money buying and selling cars! The buying and selling cars made you so much money yet you gave the dealer license cal to the state to become a real eat ant agent where you're going to make less money as you said! Your story isn't right! Then we can see why you were propping yourself up was to sell your services! Lying to sell your services is not selling but scamming! And it is not allowed in the forums! @Michelle L, @Sheryl Griffin The way I see it. Since renting a property for more than 30 days convert your guest into a tenant. If you have to rent to someone for more than 30 days, you should screen the person as being a tenant, which means background check, credit check and security deposit, and any other thing that is customary in your area. While the screening doesn't guarantee that a situation like Cory's won't happen to you, but it surely minimize the risk. Or you could just avoid the risk altogether by not renting for more than 30 days. Disclaimer: This is not legal advice. I don't live nor do I know the laws of your state.
