I am having the same issue as well. I am on an iPhone 6s running the latest iOS software. Hopefully there is a fix soon.

Hey guys, Obviously there is no way to predict the future, but I'm assuming that there should be some online metric that shows predictions. Asides from Zillow, which has some metrics of their own, are there any other sites as well? Thanks. Julian

Kim!

Thank you for that response. I never thought of making a company page on LinkedIn! I only made a person page for myself.  I will try that.

Thanks again!

If any of you have any SFR pocket listings in Los Angeles, Westwood, West LA, Manhattan Beach and surrounding areas, let me know. I have a client who is looking for a tear down property. Budget should be under $3million if possible, but send me your listings. I am a broker and will be the "selling" agent. I don't mind co-oping as well. Thanks!

Tired of looking through loopnet and need more pocket listings.  I am looking for a small strip center in Los Angeles, preferably near Koreatown, San Gabriel Valley or anywhere decent that either has good tenants or potential upside with value add.

This is for a client of mine, so I would in effect be the "selling" broker.  I don't mind doing a co-op as well.  Will sign NDAs if its deemed interesting.  Thanks guys!

Hey guys!

I own a real estate company that also has a blog that I write for everyday.  At this time, I would like to expand and get new readers.  Have any of you started a real estate blog or any blog of that matter and how did you get your readership up?  I get that my blog isn't a celebrity gossip site and probably wont hit crazy numbers, but I write in a fairly entertaining manner and make it easy to read for the regular person, so I'm hoping it will get some exposure. Also, do you guys have any advice on how to get contributing writers?

I tried marketing on social media, like facebook, but it seems like there should be better methods on getting consistent readers.

Thanks and looking forward to your replies!

Hi Linda,

I am actually in the same boat as you.  I am a real estate professional in Los Angeles and still have a hard time looking for an investment that makes sense.

You would think buying a duplex or triplex makes sense, since you can live in one and rent the other one out, but what I found was that the prices are so high in the desireable areas in SoCal that nothing made financial sense.  My issue is that I can't relocate to more affordable areas due to my wife's job situation.

If you care to venture out a bit though, you may find some deals.  Just really depends on what areas you are looking for.

Message me if you want to talk more on the subject!

Thanks for the reply.

Are there any books that you would recommend in the bookstore?

Hey fellow BP members!

Name's Julian and I'm pleased to meet ya!

I've been in the RE profession for awhile, but with all that hard work, I have a dirty little secret that I've been quite ashamed of and I think its time to get it off my chest.  I helped multiple people invest in real estate over the years, but never did so myself.  D'oh!  Call it analysis paralysis or just being young, but I never took my own medicine.  I did purchase a home back in 2005, but that home is long gone and I never did end up investing in income producing properties after that.  So now that my bachelor days of spending lots of money on silly toys are also past me, I am actually excited to work my way towards financial growth through real estate.  Its my turn now! (My new wife also tells me if I don't start investing, I'll be sharing the dog house with my pups, doh!)

So a little more about me: I been a RE broker since 2007, but in the industry since 2003.  I worked for a company all of those years till about 2015, helping a few in-house investors purchase, sell and manage commercial real estate such as shopping centers and strip malls.  I always believed in multi family, but those investors were never interested in multi family stating that the longer commercial leases were better than yearly leases to multifamily tenants.  To each their own.  Anyways, fast forward to 2011 and those investors decided to liquidate their shopping centers and instead build ultra high-end luxury homes in Los Angeles.  Luckily, I also got to be a part of those projects as well.  This prompted me to write my own blog since after posting pictures on Facebook of those builds, my friends started asking me questions about real estate.  From there, I ended up opening up my own brokerage because those same friends started asking me for transactional help.  When the last luxury home project ended in 2015, I ended up leaving the company I was working for and started my own brokerage.  Now here I am.

At this time I am looking to build my network of leads, expand my business and get more readers to my blog. It would also be nice to speak to other bloggers about how they expanded their readership. At the same time, I am also looking for fairly affordable income producing properties (SFR, condos, townhouse, duplex, triplex) for myself. I can search the MLS myself all I want, but sometimes its easier to work with another person and bounce ideas off each other.

Well, thanks for reading and I look forward to networking with y'all!

Julian
