Hi! New BP Member & RE Professional from Los Angeles, CA HERE!
Hey fellow BP members!
Name's Julian and I'm pleased to meet ya!
I've been in the RE profession for awhile, but with all that hard work, I have a dirty little secret that I've been quite ashamed of and I think its time to get it off my chest. I helped multiple people invest in real estate over the years, but never did so myself. D'oh! Call it analysis paralysis or just being young, but I never took my own medicine. I did purchase a home back in 2005, but that home is long gone and I never did end up investing in income producing properties after that. So now that my bachelor days of spending lots of money on silly toys are also past me, I am actually excited to work my way towards financial growth through real estate. Its my turn now! (My new wife also tells me if I don't start investing, I'll be sharing the dog house with my pups, doh!)
So a little more about me: I been a RE broker since 2007, but in the industry since 2003. I worked for a company all of those years till about 2015, helping a few in-house investors purchase, sell and manage commercial real estate such as shopping centers and strip malls. I always believed in multi family, but those investors were never interested in multi family stating that the longer commercial leases were better than yearly leases to multifamily tenants. To each their own. Anyways, fast forward to 2011 and those investors decided to liquidate their shopping centers and instead build ultra high-end luxury homes in Los Angeles. Luckily, I also got to be a part of those projects as well. This prompted me to write my own blog since after posting pictures on Facebook of those builds, my friends started asking me questions about real estate. From there, I ended up opening up my own brokerage because those same friends started asking me for transactional help. When the last luxury home project ended in 2015, I ended up leaving the company I was working for and started my own brokerage. Now here I am.
At this time I am looking to build my network of leads, expand my business and get more readers to my blog. It would also be nice to speak to other bloggers about how they expanded their readership. At the same time, I am also looking for fairly affordable income producing properties (SFR, condos, townhouse, duplex, triplex) for myself. I can search the MLS myself all I want, but sometimes its easier to work with another person and bounce ideas off each other.
Well, thanks for reading and I look forward to networking with y'all!
Julian
