Post: Can you do anything in Real Estate without a car (temporarily)?

@Timonthy Brillant and @Kemdrick Jones thanks for the suggestions that makes a lot of sense. I can take Public Transportation to REI meetings and use this time to do more reading on BP and check market prices in my area until I get my car back. Yes it will be harder but I'm very focused so it won't be impossible.

Thanks again.

I'm new to Real Estate Investing and have been learning a lot from reading and listening to the forums here on BP, so I thought I 'd chime in with a question that I haven't seen asked or answered here. If so, my apologies in advance.

My car is temporarily out of commission and I don't forsee me having it up and running again until at least 1-2 months, possibly longer. I want to know if anyone thinks they can honestly do any time of work in Real Estate without a car? It seems like that would be nearly impossible with trying to look at properties, outside marketing, getting to REI meetings, etc. FYI, I'm looking to start in Wholesaling since funds are low, then later transition into Flipping and Buy-and-Hold.

Any and all feedback along with suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

@Mehran Kamari thanks it's good to see a fellow Southern California full-time worker who invests. I know this question has been asked a million and one times but..how did you get started? The reason I ask is because I'm a bit overwhelmed at HOW to begin, especially while working a full-time job. Ideally I would like to work with a Mentor or partner with someone in the beginning to minimize mistakes and learn from someone who's "been there done that" as opposed to trying to do it on my own. I'm willing to offer my help in any way possible to simply learn hands on. Any suggestions?

Hi my name is Terry Marks and I'm excited to be here and interact with so many other like-minded individuals. I recently finished reading the Ultimate Beginners Guide and it confirmed what I already knew - Real Estate Investing what I truly want to do. I'm here to soak up as much knowledge as possible and in return offer any help that I can give as well. I'm particularly interested in Wholesaling to begin and later transitioning into Buy and Hold. I work full-time and would love to hear stories & inspiration of others, particularly those who began their Real Estate career while working a full-time job to re-assure me that it can be done. All in all I'm happy to be here on BP and I look forward to networking and sharing ideas with you all!
