Set up some keyword alerts (go to the bell icon, top right hand side - drop down box, Keyword Alerts - and set them up to notify you of topics you are interested in (ex., Indiana, military, passive income, long term rental)

Sounds good! Thanks for the information, much appreciated!

(Selling in particular)  What is your long term goal?  Have you checked out having your class paid for by a military education source (in some form)? (just an idea - might save you some $$!)

 Hi Lara,

Thanks for the reply! I live in Indiana and planned on getting my license in that state. At first I wanted to do it part time because I am not ready to quit my full time job yet. My long term goal is to have several rentals properties to have passive income then I will become a full time agent. I have not checked with the military to see if they cover that but that is a great idea. Do you recommend any online sites to get a license?

Hi All,

Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get your Real Estate License online? I am currently deployed overseas and had a goal to get my license while over here.

Thank you!

First off, thank you for your service! Are you only interested in SFH? I would also explore multifamily like duplex and triplex to reduce some of you liability. If you have a SFH and have a vacancy then you are stuck paying the mortgage. If you have a duplex and someone moves out of one side you are still collecting rent from the other side. Are you going to try and self manage it or get a property manager to handle that for you?

Thank you Michael! For my first rental I was leaning toward a SFH because they are a little bit cheaper. I haven't seen to many duplexes available on websites like zillow or realtor in my surrounding area. I planned on self managing the property too.

Hello everybody,

I am wanting to get started in Real Estate investing. My goal is to purchase a single family home and turn it into a rental property. I am married and have 3 kids. I work at an medical device factory but currently I am deployed overseas for the Indiana Army National Guard. I am from Warsaw, Indiana.

If you would like to connect please message me.

I look forward to hearing from you.
