Ron Robin I'm on the other side of the state - about 50 minutes north of Lake Charles.

Tod Radford I like cheese steak without the cheese. I know everyone calls it a cheesesteak but I never really liked the cheese. It's almost like putting cheese on a 12 ounce steak when you order it. No one does that. :)

James Vermillion Hi James. I checked out your site and wondering how you set up your site while you're working here in Louisiana. Do you have a partner covering the properties? Tom

It's funny how I used to read the posts on Bigger Pockets Blog. Then one day I just clicked a few more buttons on the forum and came across these posts that really got me going.

On an earlier post I mentioned a few things about myself and I'll try not to rehash too much of it. I grew up the and around Philly, went to college, saw my political science degree would take me no where so I joined the Army.

I've been to a few places but have spent the past few years in Hawaii, Arizona, Texas and now Louisiana. I'm about to close on a house in the nxt week. This summer I'll move to Kansas for a few months and then will move again. Real estate really attracted me and I'm a big fan of Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump. How could I go wrong emulating these guys? I'm a buy and hold investor and starting to make smarter buys after each buy I make.

Of course my better half has a say so and sometimes brings me back to reality. I'm married and have two kids. In my spare time I attend church, coach teeball, blog about teeball, and exercise.

Just really glad to see the great interaction on this site.

I've seen a few real estate blogs and one person on the forum took the leap from work to real estate investor a few yers ago. His blog highlights the good, bad, and ugly. Like others have said, you have to be in it for the long haul otherwise you're wasting time and money.

I started a blog last March and it's about teeball. Now I'm on the first page of Google. It requires reading other blogs, seeing what they're doing, and how you can do it better. You have to love what you write and just stay focused.

Contact Capital One. I'm working on a loan with them and putting 20% down. But as I was talking to the bank initially they asked how much are you putting down? 10%? So some banks may let you put down 10% but I'm sure it depends on your credit score, etc.
