Hi BP,

I recently bought my first property and I will be turning it into a rental property. 3/2, young family neighborhood. The whole house is getting renovated. I took down the wall that divided the old kitchen and dining room to make an open kitchen layout. So now I have two different size windows, one a normal size kitchen window for a sink and one large window for either a desk workstation or bench. What do you think renters prefer?

Also, do I make room for a dining room? My plan is to make an island but going back and forth on how big I should make it.

Thanks!

@Tristan H. Thanks!! Would be a bummer to have to wait on the bank!

Follow up question: Do you get multiple pre-approval letters? In the words, do I explore more than one lender? Ty!!

Hi BP!

I’m actively searching for my first investment property. I will be seeking a bank loan to purchase the property and I’m wondering when would be a good time to get a pre-approval letter. I haven’t narrowed down any properties, just actively looking. I understand some have an expiration date. Any advice is much appreciated!!
