Hey @Eric Moreno, that's the golden question, right? I have two duplexes in Provo and two new condos in Vineyard and there are definitely pros and cons to each. It also depends a bit on if you're more interested in pure cash flow or if you want to make an appreciation play. I have helped a lot of people with this same decision and I'd be happy to chat with you about it and give you my two cents. Feel free to shoot me a message!

@Carlin Barney, if you're thinking about a house hack in Utah or Salt Lake county, that's one of my specialties. I've done it with 3 different homes personally (still own all 3), and have helped numerous clients do the same thing. Feel free to give me a call/text and we can chat about a few strategies and what your numbers could look like. (385) 292-1133

I know this is based some on opinion and individual experiences, but what has been the experience of people that have invested in either or (even better) both of these markets? Which one tends to have higher cash flows in A and B class neighborhoods when all is said and done? Are there any key advantages or disadvantages to either area that I should be aware of? I currently have rentals in Utah where the appreciation has been fantastic, but the cash flow is not great for my current goals. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Hey Jon, as a fellow house hacker and real estate agent in Utah, I might be able to provide a connection to a lender that could help out in this situation. Send me a message and I can connect you with them!
