@Anthony Thompson oh my goodness that's kinda funny. No I definitely don't expect the tenants to read books etc..I didn't mean that. I'guess I'm looking to educate myself. For example, one tenant uses the landing outside her apartment as storage. I can only assume that's a fire hazard and I have the right to ask to keep hallways etc clear BUT I just not 100% sure.....those kind of things.

I do have the RI handbook laws.

Hi. I just purchased a 4 unit in Rhode Island. I have an insurance walk through in a few days. Any suggestions how to help the tenants get ready. 2nd question any reading recommendations on general tenant issues.

What is the difference between commercial and general multi family housing in Rhode Island? I had originally heard that anything with 4 or under would be considered multi family and 5 and over would be considered commercial. I am now doubting this information. Does anyone have any knowledge they can share?

Can anyone recommend and app that would track taxable time for mileage and for education?

Perhaps on a similar note can anyone recommend educational material on what exactly is taxable while searching and purchasing a multifamily?
