I was actually considering more modestly priced homes in the Delaware beach area.  I entertained South Florida earlier in the year but due to COVID the builders were not doing business with buyers from the Northeast.  The homes are in the mid 300-500,000 range. Some are villas and others are single family homes. I just wanted some sites to compare builders.

I am interested in purchasing a new construction vacation home/rental property.  Any builders with a good history of quality homes?  Any website recommendations to compare companies like Ryan, Lennar, Beazer etc?

I own a condo in NYC. Since Covid I am interested in a vacation rental nearby at Delaware beaches (2.5hr drive). My original goal was Florida. I am a former resident of FL so I was familiar with it. The beaches of NJ/NY are very expensive.  I have a down payment.  Are there any red flags to this purchase at this time or anyone know any major cons of Delaware beaches?
