Is there any other portal/website I should use for getting estimates? Also, my question was in context of rain and if it can cause any damage?

So due to this recent windstorm in our area, 2-3 shingles are missing from my roof.

Similarly, this corner board has come loose from the siding and needs to be screwed/nailed back and caulked.

Question is, we are expecting some rain later part of this week. Should I get it fixed before it or it can wait a few days and won’t cause any damage?

Curious, what do you guys think of areas in South West of VA(VA Peninsula) for a rental and for passive income?

For now, asking for Newport News, VA Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake and Norfolk? Does anyone has any personal experience with them and if one particular area is better than the other?

Are these good areas to start in terms of long term investment, buy, rent and hold kind of strategy?

@Mark Webb, I appreciate your feedback and detailed explanation, makes perfect sense. For now, I am definitely looking at HELOC as an option and not really considering refi.
