Welcome @Veronica Martinez! I am also a newbie here but can attest that in the past week I have learned so much from simply reading through the forum posts. I also recommend checking out the podcasts right awa. A ton of information and pretty entertaining. :) 

I'm originally from San Antonio but live in L.A. now and looking to buy and hold in San Antonio. You're definitely lucky to live where you want to invest!

@Marco Santarelli - You mentioned you think SA is a good market. Would love to hear more of your thoughts as a fellow out of state SoCal investor...any chance you'd be open to a direct message? Thanks!

I'm also in Southern California and deciding what market to get into. @Ali Boone - I'd be interested in learning about your experience as an out of state investor. I'm not too far from you (Marina del Rey but work in Venice) and am looking to invest in properties but unfortunately the LA market is out of reach for me and the properties that are within my budget don't meet my cash flow criteria. Hi everyone! New to this site and excited to learn and network. I am from Los Angeles and am very interested in purchasing multi family properties here. I currently have one single family home in AZ that I bought a while ago (right after college before I knew it was a good investment) and I would like to do a 1031 into a larger multifam in LA and eventually grow that portfolio. Would love to connect with others that are doing the same and also learn about specific locations/neighborhoods to invest in!
