Hi @Sherri Stokes,  I am a newbie investor out of the Central CT area.  I have interest in looking into the New London/Groton area to expand my business.  I have spent about 4 years or so in the Monteville area so I am familiar with there as well.

I did this for my first property.  it was a great way to get into the business.  I say make sure you have the bank and refi parameters found prior to doing this. The refi guidelines changed on me in the middle of this project. it worked out fine, but make sure you're relationship is good with a banking or lending platform

Hi guys,

I am pretty new at all of this as well.  I just bought my first investment house in April of this year. 

Fabio, New Britain has an IDA program that might be an option for you. check out hra.org....depending on your situation it could be helpful.  I used something similar out of New haven...i only wish i was smarter in buying my first house that it was a multi that i could have house hacked
