No markets can make a claim to be safe anymore and many real estate markets and in turmoil, but there are opportunities out there. Emerging markets have no doubt been considered a risk in the past but undoubtedly offer fantastic potential. Now I have a slightly based view as my company Nuera developments focuses on developments within these markets (we are currently looking at Vanuatu), but I was wondering what markets people do consider emerging at the moment? what investor sentiment is towards these markets and what peoples experiences are within them?

Be pro active you've made a good start networking is a great way. My company buys leads but not knowing the specifics of what your looking for from investors and how your structuring your investments I d say the internet and phone are great assets if your driven enough to work hard and putting the hours investors aren't going to come knock on your door in this economic climate, just be positive cash is king and people are out there just looking for the right deal.

I work for a company that focuses on the emerging markets and have with out hearing anything too specific am hearing good things about the potential yields and capital gains that are available in the Philippines. It is definitely one of the emerging markets to look at, I know there s a possibility my company (Nuera Developments) will be looking there. I would say that the it is also important for anyone that looking at these types of areas to remember that the potential returns do come at high level of risk as you are investing in a developing countries and you need to take account of the specific location of where your investing in a place like the Philippines as wealth and culture can be vastly varied from one area to the next. The Philippines is certainly worth a look if your looking for large returns though.

Hi to everyone on bigger pockets, my names Chris Sumner and I'm a land and property investment broker for international company based in the UK. I'm still young having recently graduated university I deal with high net worth individuals daily in relation to property investment worldwide with a particular focus on the emerging markets. I hope that bigger pockets can be a great resource for me to continue learning and that my everyday experiences and exposure to a variety of markets means I can give a lot back to bigger pockets as well.
