Hello Biggerpockets Community!

I have been wanting to break into the real-estate world for years now but always allowed excuses or small trifles to discourage me. But with a small savings and work relocation, I think my wife and I are ready to take out first step. If anyone has knowledge for a first time investor, as well as knowledge of the market in Brazos county tx, plz help me out and PM me.

I've heard that the market isn't the best to get into right now, especially for a noob, but I also have heard that there is a deal if you know where to look. So if you have mastered the art of finding a deal and are willing to share your wisdom, plz allow me to learn from you. I have been reading books, watching podcasts, and attending webinars on bigger pockets for years, I believe I'm finally ready to join the ranks of investors/property owners.

lol thanks Haley! Not in the closing stages just yet (or even visiting potential deals ha) but I’ll be there sometime around August. I hope to see that you made a big splash in the DFW market by the time I get there, Happy hunting!

I’m looking to buy my first property (multifamily) in the Dallas Fort worth area and have little confidence in where to start my career in real estate. I am planning on house hacking to get started. Can anyone provide advice in how and what strategies have worked for you, as well as where/how to get my feet off the ground?
