I’ve seen a lot of negative things on here about Daytona Beach, albeit they were all posts from at least 1 year ago. Just wondering if anyone had any insights into investing there? My wife is going to be visiting her sister in Palm Coast next week and the price to rent ratio seems pretty good in Daytona Beach so we were thinking about setting up some viewings.

Hey all,

I'm looking to connect with some others that are just getting started in REI. I'd like to start a mastermind group so we can all bounce ideas off each other and hold each other accountable. If anyone is interested send me a message on here and I'll get it started! I'm in the process of getting pre-approval and hopefully making an offer on my first rental next week.

@Orlando Hernandez

I'm looking about as far away as I could possibly get from home, I live north of Seattle and we are looking at places in Pensacola. Reason being you're going to spend at least $300k on a SFR here in the Seattle area, and you can find places there for $100k. We also have family in Pensacola that takes away some of the worry. I think if you take the time to develop a solid team it shouldn't be too bad.

@Erik Baumer

Hey Erik,

I’m looking at a couple different properties on hubzu and was just curious how things worked out for you and if you had any advice on working with hubzu?

Getting started at 22 is awesome man! I wish I would have started when I was that young. There’s a lot of opinions on long distance investing, but a lot of people do it. There’s a Bigger Pockets book all about it, I got it off amazon for $16 I think. Good luck with your investing.

Congrats on your first deal! We are also looking at Purchasing out of state, have any advice for someone when it comes to doing deals in another state?

Hey everyone, I'm really enjoying all the great info available on here. I'm currently located in Washington State about an hour north of Seattle, but we are looking at investing in Florida currently. My wife has family there and the home prices are much more affordable. I'm looking to network with folks around Pensacola that can maybe help me get more familiar with the market. I plan on taking a trip out next month to look at some homes and would love to meet up and buy some folks lunch if I can pick your brains.
