@Brandon Turner is that keyword alert available to everyone? I saw the banner before coming in and was about to check out the details. As for the cold, yuck. I do love the snow. so torn.

I was actually thinking the same thing, getting my license and doing wholesaling on the side. My ultimate goal is to Invest. maybe more on the land side or even Commercial. Those are long term goals for now.

Marc Bodinger im going to have to look more into that legislation. I was thinking it was more along the lines of loan forgiveness. I guess that doesnt mean completely but maybe just to get them current and in a new deal/rate loan.

I thought that scandal was going to HELP people keep their homes? Its not to forgive mortgages that were foreclosed under false (robo signing) pretenses? Although, I did hear from an old co-worker that new foreclosures were to hit the market as of 2013 but he is not in the business so validity didnt ring high to me.

Realtors in my area are saying home prices are starting and have been rising in my state. I was informed I should get my realtor license and sell instead of trying to wholesale. Any flippers or wholesalers in the area that can play devils advocate?

edit: I have also been told most deals have been bought up by institutional investors.

Hi, Bigger Pockets! My name is Spencer but you know that according to my username :) Im new to REI and looking for a mentor in the Twin cities. I have been lurking around here a little, reading and learning, came over from The Fastlane Forum. I had a small experience in mortgage brokering back in 2002 and was personally "recruited" by the owner/co-founder of Exit Homes Realty shortly after. Wish I had taken the opportunity but was young and didnt see the value of being trained by the best.

I was recently laid off and could not be happier. Not having that "security blanket" J O B, has me back to in my creative stance and looking for financial freedom. I have always had an interest in real estate but could never take the financial risk. I see there a lot of creative ways to not use my own money to get started in REI.

Im ready to put in the hours and work (weekends too) in to start building my road to financial freedom.
