@Desmond Haylett - you should attend the NYC BP meetup on Tuesday 4/15. It's a great opportunity to network with investors of all levels of experience in REI. It's held at Pranna Lounge in midtown. I've attended the past 2 meetings which had about 100 people at each.

Hope to see you there!

@Laura Levine - Welcome to BP! As @John Moore

mentioned, there is a Meetup in Summit NJ this Friday 4/4 6:30-9pm. Here is the Link to the thread for more info:

For whatever reason I cannot use the insert link button to do this. Anyway, hope to see you there and best of luck with your Real Estate Investing!

@Darren Sager - I will definitely be there. Please let me know if you need any help with anything. Thanks for putting this together. If it's anything like the New York meetups we've had so far, it's going to be another great opportunity to network with the NJ investors.

Thank you @Darren Sager for putting this together along with the other members (chad?) who helped secure the location for the meeting. Even though I couldn't stay for very long, it was great to see the strong turnout at this event. Definitely looking forward to future events with special BP guests, etc..

Btw - I thought the name tag idea was very clever and helpful in identifying the different types of roles each attendee was looking for.

hello @Tom Merritt and welcome to BP! You've come to the perfect place for information about REI and to network with fellow investors. We just had a meetup in the city a few weeks ago and hopefully will have more in the near future. Be sure to check out the Podcasts which are filled with a ton of great tips for beginners and pro's in the industry.

I work in NYC but live and invest in northern NJ. Good Luck!

Welcome to BP @Joseph Tarallo . What are your investment goals? If you have the mentality of a long term investor, then selling shouldn't really be a high criteria item (this is what I've been lead to believe). But if you are looking to pick up distressed properties and rehab them to get better rental cash flow and increase the value of the property, then SFR's are generally easier to turnover. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Hello @Kunal Doshi and welcome to BP. I'm also fairly new to BP and recently became a RE Agent in the North Jersey area. My goal is to work with investors and acquire some cash flowing properties myself this year.

@Darren Sager thank you for putting this BP Meetup together. It was a great opportunity to meet some of the local members and just bounce ideas off of each other.

@Brandon Turner it was great to meet you in person (feel like I already knew you through the podcasts). Thanks for spending the time to just chat with newbie members like me and several others. Hopefully you will have more opportunities to make it out here again and maybe even drag @Joshua Dorkin along.

Welcome to BP @Dwayne Taylor ! I'm fairly new myself but I would say that the first step in being a successful Real Estate Investor is to network with people who are actually doing what you want to do. You'll find a ton of great forums here in which you can gather information from and ask questions. Check out the BP Podcast which really helped me figure out what kind of invested I want to get into. Good luck!
