Hello @Ty Coutts,

A couple of weeks ago I spoke with a lender in California who stated they are no longer allowed to offset the liability of my primary home with future rental income. I am trying to leave my primary home to buy another primary home and keep the 1st house as a rental. In order to do this, they are requiring proof that I've received rental income for the past 12 months.

They sent me this guide from Freddie Mac updated 10/04/2023. https://selling-guide.fanniemae.com/Selling-Guide/Originatio... and here's a screen shot of the portion that makes me ineligible. Have the guidelines changed?
