Seems to be a decent demand for both, depending on what part of town you focus on.

Welcome to BP Travis! I'm also beginning my RE investment in Tallahassee, primarily flips. There is a wealth of info here. Good luck to you!

I've started the process of researching both agents and contractors in the area via referrals for the area. How important is it to have at least a couple potential GCs lined up before deciding on a property? I have no experience estimating rehab costs.

I've begun to take action toward my first potential flip and am looking for any referrals for and against certain GCs in the Tallahassee area. I'm not against paying for good work, but I don't want to overspend or work with someone who is unprofessional. Thank you all in advance!

Yes I forgot inspectors. I was thinking real estate brokers, but would an agent fill the same role? I'll add insurance broker to the list.

As I begin building my investment team, I am racking my brain to make sure I don't forget anyone I may need at some point. Obviously I am thinking about a real estate/closing attorney, agents, contractors, appraisers, brokers, lenders. Am I missing anyone? Thanks!

@Chris Wright, thank you my fried and same to you! I've always been the type to do things on my own, so putting myself in that position has been difficult. I've taken the saying "Get comfortable with being uncomfortable" to heart! Just one foot in front of the other.

@Rubelyn P. thank you for the link; I will be sure to read it! I've begun listening to the old podcasts also, starting at the very first.

Hello everyone! Excited about finally getting into the industry. Took a long time for me to get past the jitters and nervousness of failing and just not knowing everything before starting. My first REIA meeting has me ready to get my team together, but still fighting analysis paralysis. Looking for an owner/occupied multi-unit to get a cash flow going and a deal under my belt, but am thinking about wholesaling to start. Any tips and tricks to get started would be greatly appreciated! I've already found a lot of help on BP after only a few days on here.
