It's very localized, but several areas in Raleigh and Durham have posted slight increases in home values. South Durham, for example has shown some solid home values, especially around Southpoint Mall [our relatively new regional mall].

If you would like some more detail, shoot me a PM and we'll talk.

First of all, make sure your tenants are taken care of. It's a little thing, but they might remember it when you tell them you won't reimburse them for their lost belongings.

After that, I'd echo what has been said above. Good luck, and I'm sorry for the loss.

While I was joking about selling Hawaii, I am serious about selling some land. How much do you think the oil companies would pay for some of that land in ANWR? If we want to have massive government spending, we should have to sell some governemnt assets. It's what I'd have to do . . .

I've been suggesting to people that we sell off parts of Hawaii. I'm sure the Chinese and/or Japanese would pay us enough to fund the stimulus boondoggle.

I'd be happy with anything as long as it's reasonably simple. It's for a marketing piece I'm working on, so complex charts would probably scare Joe homebuyer off.

Thanks for looking through your stuff!

Trump and Kiyosaki throw that number around a lot. It assumes, however, that we give SS receipients and such the same benefits that we do today. I just can't believe that there win't be a drastic cutback in benefits in about 10, maybe 15 years. the money's just not there to support it, and the credit cards are maxed out.

Makes me want to buy gold, it does.

Perhaps so, but it this case, all he was asked to do is basic math. $75Billion divided among the 9 million President Obama says will be helped comes out to just over $8,000 per person. Doesn't take an economist to do that.

[Heck, most economists can't do basic math . . . :) ]

No, the one I'm thinking of had a chart. It was a nice visual I was hoping to borrow for something I'm working on.

Thanks for looking, though.

Not too long ago, I saw on BP a comparison of the return on Real Estate over the past year compared to stocks and other common investment vehicles. Now that I actually want the data, I can't seem to find the original post. Would someone with better search fu than I take a look and point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I've read his book for new agents, which I really found useful and easy to read. I can only assume that would translate to his real estate investing books
