Please provide your insight into any potential headwinds investors may face in 2017. Specifically in the DFW area.

I live in Dallas, near White Rock lake, and I'd like to get started flipping houses. I've attended a few local Meet-ups but it seems all of these are really just sales pitches, or some guru hocking some training platform... Are there any serious investors in Dallas that are willing to act as a mentor, or at least a guide?
