I think your local chamber of commerce is always a good place to start! I met my business partner through the local commerce and he's actually a big contributor to the money for seed capital I use.

A bit familiar with this happy to chat via DM! I'd say there's not as complex of capital markets and borrowing as the US so not as many products for debt seed capital but surprisingly less regulations (think consumer protections, inspections, middlemen).

I have a friend that used lending club for getting seed capital for a startup she was working on. Would be interesting to see it used toward REI

Agree with @Tyler Horton. Super helpful with unlocking credit cards that I could use for seed capital funds like building renovations.

@Tom S. I don't think this is the case. I think @Account Closed is referring to using borrowed funds from a source other than the bank. If you use hard money or have a friend/business partner who puts up the money its no different than paying down the payment in cash. I think from a seed capital investing perspective it makes a lot of sense.

Hi @Hank Wu appreciate you looking into this. Just read through those and that seems really interesting! I'd be really interested in seeing if it would be viable to get revenue from net metering as a way to help balance out the high seed capital of starting out in real estate.

So hate to come on hear and ask but trying to wrap my head around short sales and the technical jargon isn't making it easy. I've heard about short selling stocks but not sure how it works on real estate. Thought it might make things easier for my seed capital if I'm purchasing a property from a short sale based on what I've read but could use some help from the pros! Appreciate it in advance!

I've heard from a few places that it's better to deal with smaller community banks but curious to hear your experiences. I think banks are what I'm leaning toward for locking in seed capital but finding the right bank seems harder than I thought.

I'd recommend checking in to Seed Capital and WCAP. They have been really helpful with helping me find and qualify for low interest credit cards that I put toward some of my initial investments.

Does anyone have experience with working with solar panel installations and other ways to get tax credits as a way to reduce seed capital for real estate investing?
