@Taylor L.

One of my goals is to improve 1% every day. Listening to audio books (like how to win friends and influence people) and podcasts. I've implemented some small tidbits from so many books...it really is amazing what one can do by changing a bit at a time.

You will achieve your goals!

@Wallace Pendleton

Your kids are going to appreciate you so much once they are adults! (I know they appreciate you now for being a great dad!)

@Chico Ford

Yes, mindset really affects how you go after deals. "The mindset that got you to where you are, isn't the mindset that will take you to the next level," I think Gary Keller said this....

@Zachary Elliott

Yes, I have been active for about 3 years now, with Keller Williams, Pinehurst nc. I love going out and finding people to help, dealing with the unexpected, and guiding my clients to closing.

@David Hindsight is 20/20.... I know the feeling. I guess it means nobody has a crystal ball.

Thanks for sharing!

@Zachary Elliott so true! The first deal teaches us so much. For too long I thought being an active real estate agent was "too dangerous"... meeting people you don't know in empty houses. Nowadays, there's systems and co-workers that make this worry way less of an issue.

Mindset can either work for you, or against you.

What made you take the first step into real estate?

@Caleb Brown you are already wise beyond your years!

What got you into real estate at the age of 17?

I wish I had become more involved in real estate 20 years ago...

I think it was Matthew McConaughey that said, "don't walk in to a place like you're thinking about buying it....walk in like you own the place".

There are people that will judge others by how they look...those same people may decide looks aren't so important, once they see how confident, competent, and professional you are.

"Be so good they can't ignore you," is another good goal (author unknown).

There are people with no tattoos that act nice and will stab you in the back.  There's a guy I used to work with, retired military and looked mean as a rattlesnake....had tattoos, pocket knife, and didn't take attitude from anyone. Once I got to know him, I would trust him with my life.

Be yourself. Follow your own heart. Your true colors will shine through.

You might even start a trend.😊
