I am talking about selling barrels of crude oil, jet fuel, gold bullion, rough diamonds. Have any of you brokered a deal.

Have any of you dabbled in selling commodities? What are your thoughts? I know that the commissions are outrageous, but have any of you brokered a deal?

I was. Each time you two were asking questions I was in return getting in touch with my my guy in Dubai. What he was telling me was exactly what I posted. Unfortunately, he does not go into great detail.

All I was doing is seeing if somebody was interested, if so, I have a package I would send them and then put them in direct contact with him. A lot of business that I have done is just seeing what someone is interested in and then putting them in direct contact with the seller or sellers agent. If I was the listing agent, I would know every detail that someone would ask.

You are right, I do not have all the details. I am with RE/MAX and have a RE/MAX agent in Dubai that I have worked with. He sent me the information asking if I knew of anybody that might be interested. I asked him if I could shop it around. He said that would be alright. I know nothing of investing in Dubai. If someone was interested, I would have put them in direct contact with him.

Yes, foreigners can own property.

Financing can be done through most World Bank and most international banks.

"It is a tax free haven. No questions asked. What more could you expect. One can invest any amount of money and can take out profits and even the original investment without any hassle. No restrictions." This is a quote from my contact who is the provider in Dubai.

5 Star hotel to be built in Dubai's Sports City. Purchase price of the land is $29MM and there are 2 options for the hotel. If you have not heard about Dubai's Sports City, it is one of the greatest investment opportunities in Dubai.

I just had a client refinance a property that we had listed for a while. He signed the paperwork to cancel. I cancelled the listing and then once it was refied, we relisted the property. The obvious thing is that if the owner wants he could walk away once you cancel. If you need I can give you the name of my lender. He has a couple of companies that will refi one day off market. This was done last month, so it was in the middle of the lending meltdown.
