Post: Learning Real Estate + House Hacking

Hi, my name is Shawn. I'm 20 years old and am interested in beginning to invest in real estate. I live 20 minutes south of the Indianapolis area. I have been reading books, listening to the BP Podcast and trying to gather as much knowledge about REI as I possibly can. My long term goal is to get into rental property investing.

I plan to begin looking for my first property to house hack sometime towards the end of this year or the beginning of next. I am curious of what others think about a house hack as a first property. As well as any advice that could be given in helping me achieve this goal. I know YouTube has plenty of resources that can help, but I would love to here from investors first hand on here, about anything they know about the process, tips you may have, and things you wish you would have known at the beginning of your journey.

As someone who is new to the REI game I do not have a lot of connections. So if you would be interested in connecting I am always down to meet and talk to new people. We can connect, learn, and bounce ideas off of each other. Whether you are local to the Indy area or far, do not hesitate to reach out.

Thanks Everyone!

Post: Starting to Wholesale: Looking for Advice

At the beginning of the year a partner and I started our REI journey. As of now we are starting to wholesale properties in order to gain capital for our first deals and as a way to get our foot in the RE door. We have had 2 properties that we thought were going to work, but after posting the deals in a Facebook group we received comments saying our numbers were way off. So I am interested to see how others are finding comps for their calculations, as well as finding ARV when there are no comps to use.

Also, I am looking to make connections and meet loads of new people in the RE community to build relationships and learn from others.
