Hi BP. I'm Currently building an ADU (in SoCal) The original plans had a small balcony off one of the bedrooms. Now I'm second guessing myself and wondering if I should scrap the balcony and make the room larger. I keep going back and forth. From a landlord standpoint what is more appealing to a renter, smaller room with balcony or a large room? I know I can't please the masses but wanted some input.

Yes! My architect is awful. My father is a licensed contractor so he will complete the build. That is the only reason I don’t get hyper stressed about the project because I don’t have to worry about labor costs.

Yes. I submitted through LA County. The architect submitted all of the paperwork on my behalf. I think he has dropped the ball. I began my permit process Nov 2018 and still nothing. I think I’m at the home stretch now. I can’t wait to start building.
