Hey Friends, Does anyone have a good lender that specializes in cash-out refi's?

Hey @Suzanna Santostefano! I'll let you know when I go to my first meeting. It's always nice to have a buddy that you already know at those type of things.

Glad you liked the book. I've been listening to the podcast intravenously for the past month!

@Dennis Lozano That's not far from me at all. What a great neighborhood to invest in! Since that new HEB came that area has exploded.

@Nathan Gogo The tenants park where I ask them not to (constantly), they've never paid rent on time, they leave their beer bottles and cigarette butts on the porch, I could go on but you get the point. I'm still glad we made the move, these are just temporary tenants.

@Nathan Gogo Thanks for the info!

The first duplex was great. We were lucky enough to have close friends who needed a place to stay for the first year or so. After that I just vetted the tenants really well and we haven't had any problems. The duplex we live in now came with inherited tenants and it's not great, but we do get rent every month. We're going to have to do some upgrades to the unit to get the next set of tenants so we're currently saving up to be able to do that before we stop renewing their lease.

Hi folks,

My name is Shane and I'm in Austin, TX. I've been a Realtor for 5 years. I've dabbled in investing but I'm interested in getting more serious about it. In 2013 we bought our first home which was a duplex. We lived in one side and rented the other. Late last year we moved into a new duplex and kept the old one, and now rent out both sides, in addition to the other side of our current one. I also flipped one home a few years back. It went well, but I got busy with the day to day of being a Realtor and haven't done another since.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here and ready to learn.
