Thanks Michael, will do. You're actually in one of my 3 primary towns of interest.

Awesome - thanks to both of you. Waterbury is on our radar for sure.

Greetings all, my name is Seth Maynard and I'm new-ish to REI in the Cheshire CT area. Really psyched to have found this site and community. I am a Radical Personal Finance fan, and caught his show on BP. Was instantly hooked. My wife and I owned a rental property in the past, but are still licking financial wounds sustained getting out from underneath it. Lots of lessons learned there, but you can never learn enough, eh? In the years since we have focused on getting debt free (current mortgage aside), building up capital and building careers. We're now ready to wade back into the market. Very interested to connect with other folks in the area who have experience as we explore local market conditions, brokers and forming our company. Currently skewed toward local mid-tier single family homes for longer term investments with immediate cash flow (thanks Mr. Schaub!), but open to other opportunities as they arise. I think CT is poised for buying opportunities in the near to mid term given the state of the state, so want to be sure we're positioned to take advantage of them.
