@Tim Ivanchuk I understand it can be quite frightening but just try to be organic and honest let them know what you’re looking or who you’re looking for. The neighbors know everything.

People don’t like BS, they can smell it from a mile away. Some neighbors may talk to you others may say no.

If you can’t find anything from the neighbors look on your county assessors website you can find the owners info there including their mailing address. You can then either sent them a letter or for a much quicker response skip trace them and give them a call.

Hello Kasey Villareal thank you for reaching out. I do apologize for the late response, please forgive me. At this time my wife and I are focused on wholesaling here in Houston in order to build some capital to fund our flips. We plan on investing in the surrounding area of McAllen in the near future. We would like to get some input on the Realestate market in the area. I believe that there is a market for renting but I would like to get some inside from someone experienced actively investing in the area.

Thank you Jeff W. that is a good point. My wife is a Realestate agent in the Woodlands. I can say it is a great place to invest in. Thank you for the advice I will be keeping a close eye on this market as I continue investing in Houston.

Thank youRocky V. I will definitely keep that in mind. I met with a friend last night and fro our conversation plenty of good things are coming to McAllen and surrounding areas. I do think the rental market here has lots of potential.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I have been back and forth from Houston to McAllen for a few years now visiting my Family that lives here. My wife and I have been thinking about investing in this Area, we would like to get some insight on the Market from experienced investors. Please help, share some wisdom with us. We are interested in wholesaling, rentals and flipping. My wife was born and raised here so she knows the area quite well but I figured that we should turn to experienced and active investors in the area. We generally come by every couple of months and scope out the area, we are here for a few days and will be checking things out. We hear good things about the area. Please help.
