As a beginner to RE, how do you get good credits when you haven't bought any property yet, and never took a loan before??

What if I already have somewhere I live for free, do I necessarily need to move into one of the unit? Asking this to be clear. And how do I work on my credit since I haven't done any deal yet.

Hello everyone, I'm new but I know I want to be a real estate investor and I wanna own rental properties. I haven't talked to a bank yet except by email, I'm in my early 20s. Completely new to everything plus no strategies yet. I found this website on a book I was reading, don't really know where to start from, can someone point me to the right direction?
