Building a rental house and buying a rental house, which is better. There are some new areas where there's just land and no houses yet! Please explain your reasons, I will be very grateful.

Having an account with them shouldn't be an issue, although it may be inconvenient if you use another bank. Providing proof of income can be an issue if you don't have a "salary job" or W-2.

I'd suggest calling other lenders and describing your situation. You may find a smaller local/regional bank willing to lend to you.

Thanks allot

You generally need to show income. If you don't have any income, they typically won't loan to you even if you have a large amount of money tucked in your mattress.

Thanks

It's about getting my first loan from a bank, and they require for me to have a salary account with them. And I don't plan on having a salary job, my plan is to obtain a mortgage and buy a multi family home, I'm starting with house hacking, so the payment of the property will be generated from the rental cash flow from my tenants

The bank I plan on contacting for my first deal (I haven't seen a property yet, just want to create a relationship) are requesting I have a salary account with them. I'm not looking to be a salary earner, I want to be a full time Real Estate investor. I'm planning to start with house hacking (with a multi family house like triplex or four Plex)What's your opinion, how should I handle the bank?

Establishing a relationship with the bank or lenders will make your life and investment journey a lot easier.

Goodluck.

@Seidu M. Lawal, you might try getting a credit card or 2 and using them once in awhile.  You can also go get a small loan on a vehicle or something from a place that does payments for a stove or refridgerator, etc.  Making the payments on time and being prompt will build up a little credit.
