Hello.

What are some good strategies people use to sell spaces or park owned homes in their mobile home parks. We have a large 55 and older park but it is in a pretty remote location in the so cal desert so its not like thousands of people are driving by us each day. What are some effective ways that i can market these listing to my target audience? Thanks

2 questions here:

My family owns a park which is in a pretty remote location. Because of this the city electric charges us one large bill for our meter and we are responsible for reading homeowners original meters, charging them, and getting our money back. I am looking for someway to make this less time consuming for our office. So one, does anyone have experience working with and convincing city power companies to come and read individual meters? or two, does anyone have any insight into automatic meter readers so at the very least we don't have to send someone out to check each meter manually?

Thanks

Thanks Jack!

we do use Staylist now for our transient rv business, but found alot to be desired for mobile home Side of things. I have demoed alot of the names you mentioned and like rent manager with yardi a close second... we are in california so labor cost is a concern with a traditional excel/quickbooks approach as well as potential legal problems with the possibility of mistakes that you mentioned. I will check out manage america. Can you describe more as to why you use that service? Aside from the ease of use and inexpensiveness? Thanks

Hey all!

I am looking for recommendations on a landlord software that will be used at a 350 space mobile home park. Basically a place to store and track tenant forms and data, organize accounting, do tenant screenings, create invoices, and meter electric and water. Does anyone know of a good software that will have these capabilities. Also needs to be on the cloud as I am not always on site.

Thanks!

Post: listing other peoples homes (mobile home park) CA

I work for a mobile home park in CA. We have tenants who want to sell their homes and was thinking about posting ads on our website to help facilitate this process. We are not interested in becoming listing agents or doing open houses etc. We just want to display pictures and descriptions. Since these are for sale by owner homes, are there any laws we may be potentially violating by advertising their homes? I would think it would be ok if we got their permission but I am not sure. If it is, then how would I go about drafting some sort of legal document?

THanks
