Hey Lindsay,

All these individuals are great resources. I own a multifamily property here in Boise as well.  If you have any questions about the area feel free to PM me I would be happy to help.

@Shannon Robnett I wish I could have connected with you 1 year ago as we were navigating the waters of contractors, and city planning and zoning. However I am grateful for all the rookie mistakes we made along the way as they have given us confidence moving forward. I do have a vacant property that I am trying to get more information on currently that I would love to pick your brain about, I will PM you when I get more details.

I speak for all us rookies when I say thank you, and to all other seasoned real estate investors (@Jonna Weber@Anna Strausbaugh) for engaging, educating, and being encouraging to all us rookies out there trying to get started in real estate it means a lot.

@Brandon Pelfrey Congratulations! Its great to see other people making house hacks work in Boise. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations this is a really cool property. As someone who recently jumped through all these same hoop's with planning and zoning I tip my hat to you. Hope it provides great cash flow for years to come!

@Brian Liddy I admire how clear your goals are. Between this, your motivations, and unfortunate job loss I am sure you will be successful. I am a new investor and have a pretty small network at this point as well. However I was born and raised in Spokane, and have lived in Boise for the last 10 years. If you have any general questions about the cities, or want an unbiased opinions feel free to reach out to me.

Hello BP Nation!

My name is Sean Thompson. I am a new investor living in beautiful Boise Idaho with my wife, dog, and in 6 months our first kiddo! We finished our first investment property in May 2020 by converting our single family dwelling into a duplex (legally), and are currently house hacking the property. My goal with real estate is to provide financial independence and security for my family. Our short term goal is to start simply by buying a single family home either here in Boise, or another market we have pegged in the next 6 months.

I would love to connect with as many people passionate about real-estate as I can.  Also we have also navigated the waters of working with the planning and zoning, and some experience with contractors. I have a full time job in a different industry however would just like to become more involved in real estate because I enjoy it. Look forward to connecting with everyone.

Thanks,

Sean
