Thank you for asking about my goals! A little more about me: I’m a local firefighter with 3 young children. My ultimate goal is to build wealth to pass on to my children. At this point I’m focusing on research, reading, networking, etc. because right now we have a pretty hefty childcare bill each month! My wife gave me the go ahead for purchasing a property in September when our son goes to kindergarten and we’ll get a little bit of a raise!

My initial focus has been on single family rentals in Kirkland with the hope of expanding to small multi family in the future. While our monthly expenses are high right now, I’ve been switching my focus to wholesaling in the area and have started doing more research on that front. Would you mind if I sent you a direct message asking about your experiences in this area?

@John Barrett, Thank you very much for your reply. I would love to attend local meetups in my area. I have joined a number of groups on Meetup.com to try to find events and joined WAREI on Facebook as well. 

WAREI seems like a great place to connect with people around me but they don't have an in person event coming up according to their page. Also, the groups I've found on Meetup.com have just been doing Zoom meetings with the goal of selling programs similar to what I already have access to with Bigger Pockets.

Do you have suggestions on where else to look for events in the area?

I have a beautiful wife and 3 wonderful children and my dream is to improve our lives and future and set my children up for success. A lot of the properties on the MLS I'm finding around here just do not pencil out at this point. I'm going to start door knocking this next week or two and see if that works.
