Dylan Shafer welcome to the site. I also live in the Hampton roads area and have made sure to set my key word alerts to include "Hampton roads" "Virginia beach", etc. also look up some of the local REIs online. All the best!!

@Antonio Jones

Welcome to the BP site....this is the first step!!  Few suggestions:  I would sign up for and watch the Webinars that @Brandon Turner host.  They are under "education....webinar...upcoming webinar".  Good start and great information.  The other thing would be to listen to the BP or other real estate podcast.  Especially look at Episode 176 on the BP podcast.  Their guest talks about wholesaling.   I find listening to podcast is a great way to learn and great if you have some dashboard time.  Good luck!!

Welcome!! Few things I can recommend. There are a few local Real Estate Investment groups in the area. Just google and you can find a list. Also, if you are not listening to the BP podcast....highly recommended. Also, Brandon Turner host a Webinar every few weeks that is pretty good for getting some of the basics. You have to register, but it is under "education"...."webinar" on the BP site. If you find you like the podcast and are into wholesale...search for Wholesale Inc. Heard Tom on the BP podcast and liked the energy. Good luck!!

Welcome to the BP site. A few things: on the duplex/quad, do some digging into the area you want to invest. From what I have found, most of these are in the Norfolk/Portsmouth areas....but as others have highlighted in other post the area can really make a big difference on the quality of the property. Not sure if you have determined a strategy yet, but one idea to look at is "house hacking". It is when you live in one pet of a duplex, tri or quad and rent the others. There are a lot of post in regards to this...so just do a search. Finally, there are some local real estate clubs such as PREIA (Peninsula Real Estate Investors Association) that is a good resource. At least get on the email list. Also mark your key words to get forum post in the area you are interested in. Good luck!

I am definitely interested in any meet up opportunities. Is there a group site or just schedule through BP?
