Don't know how I missed this. Do you guys usually hold them on the 3rd Tuesday of every month or do the dates vary? These are definitely the kinds of events that I need to be attending. @Aaron Yates

I am in the process of trying to build my team for my REI business. Could anyone from the SE Michigan area recommend a good general contractor and attorney to add to my team?

It would be extra helpful if they actually invested themselves, but it's not mandatory.

If you're a newbie like me and are confused on where to start with your wholesaling business, I would suggest you take a listen at BP podcast 042. (http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2013/10/31...) 

It really opened up my eyes to some creative thinking. Can't wait to get through more of the podcasts. Along with reading through the forums, they're really helping with my understanding of this business.

The people here have a tone of knowledge to dish out; utilize and take action steps!

I've recently noticed that, as I'm trying to get my REI business off the ground, I haven't had much experience in calculating rehab costs. This is a huge part of wholesaling (my starting point) and even more-so in fix and flips (where I would like to end up).

Would it be worth my while to find an investor/contractor who I could possibly shadow to help out with understanding the basics? Or is there a magical form that I can follow as a checklist?

Darron Stewart Thanks for the response! I've setup an LLC before through the state, and through Legalzoom. While LZ is a bit more expensive, it is MUCH faster than going directly through the state.

Bryan L. I was thinking about getting a few solid deals under my belt prior to getting the entity set up, but was unsure. Thanks for clearing that up!
