If you haven't already tried searching BP for the term "airbnb" I would suggest you do so as you will find quite a few hits across the various areas of the site (forums, blog posts, marketplace, etc.).

I'm sure you'll find some good general information to help you out and quite possibly some specific information to your approach and area.

Another thought is to check out BP meetups in the Duluth area to connect with other investors in your area.

I've had a couple of bikes over the years. As a kid my brother and I rode his enduro 250 (don't recall the brand). My next bike was a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard M50 - great ride! Now I drive a Goldwing 1800 because I like the features on it for long hauls.

I'm a computer programmer by trade but have always been handy. As a child, my father showed me the value of sweat equity and taught me the skills needed to fix up my home. (Thanks, dad!)

My wife and I have built two homes (acting as our own general contractor) and subdivided one 1.5 acre lot into two ~3/4 acre lots. To do that, we worked with an engineering firm and presented our plan before the city council - it was a long process but worth it!

I've always been willing to try new things. Now that our kids are older we've decided to give rental properties our focus and have begun looking in our own back yard.

At the moment we have no properties but if I could find (and finance!) a 10-unit apartment building that is what I would love to do. More realistically for our first purchases, we hope to put two SFHs or duplexes in our portfolio by EOY 2017.

A big "hello!" to my fellow Twin City-ans! Keep me in mind for any syndicated deals in the Twin Cities market.
