@Dave Foster I definitely can understand what you’re saying. I’ve really put sweat equity into the catering business and obviously with COVID, it hasn’t treated us too well. Obviously there’s nothing I can do about that but I can try and pivot to real estate and try my best to get these people to move forward on what they started 6 years ago. I’m still going to try and have my own portfolio and start with a house hack hopefully next year!

@Dave Foster well that’s the thing. They had a vision 6 years ago and as a family they decided to pull money out of the stock market and start buying property instead. Well instead of going for volume they just bought 3 properties all for cash until there was none left. Me being 21 at the time and unfortunately definitely not as motivated as I am now, I just didn’t care. Now that I do own a part of another family business and understand the work that it takes, It makes my head spin that they did that. So the WHY is definitely clear for me but I definitely can’t speak for everyone else. Thank you for the insight!

@Erickson Sainval they are letting me lead because we have a catering business as well. I am working on both at the same time but to be honest I’m not in love with the service industry at all. I’m just trying to get them on the same page and go bigger. I don’t want to be 45 and still having to worry about how many catering orders I have coming in each week. I want to build a machine not be a cog.

Hello! My family has owned a few rental properties for about 6 years now. They paid all cash for each one (not sure if this is good or bad) but haven't moved on anything since 2017. I don't know if it was just a matter of losing sight of a bigger picture or just pure laziness but I want to change that. As it stands I'm pretty sure most of the money is tied up in those properties and I don't know where to go from here. I'm new to bigger pockets and would appreciate any advice that is offered. Thank you all in advance and I look forward to making some new, successful relationships!
