As far as your financing option, did you have to finance it 100% of your money saved up? or has anyone worked a conventional mortgage loan at a bank?

You are right the area is very expensive, which makes it a bit difficult. But it's not impossible.  We can find investors/partners who may help finance a deal. Which property are you interested in and where are you looking in East Bay. We can research and help find a deal together. 

Melissa, Thank you for the recommendation, but that'd be too far for me.. my current job is in Milpitas, and I am looking for a primary residence. VA loan requires that I live in the property for a year. I noticed you are from Campbell. How's the market there? Any multi-family houses opportunities at $650K~$750K? Thanks -Scott
