Evening All,

Does anyone in operating in the Manchester Area have experience installing vinyl siding over existing asbestos siding? If so what was the process like? What contractor did you use ?

I'm looking to cover my existing  siding with vinyl but am unsure what Government or environmental regulations i may encounter.

Thanks!

@Arthur Lyon I currently have a duplex in Manchester and have been passively looking for more. As mentioned previously, Manchester is quite hot with properties flying off the market almost as soon as their listed. While this does not exactly make it easy for new investors, a lot of these houses are listed and sold well above the price points you would need to meet your goals. I look mainly in the i93 to US 3 north corridor from Manchester to Nashua and the outlying areas. With that said there are opportunities in Keene , Rochester, and some of the towns closer to the VT border. I would recommend establishing your crystal clear criteria and start living on realtor, Zillow , Redfin and the like.eventually you’ll find something that may work. Best of luck !

@Jeremy Chartier I too am new to this whole investing world only just jumping in back in October 2020. While inventory levels are certainly low, you can find opportunity with crystal clear criteria and strong financing. I’m a strong believer in not necessarily finding a property that’s a deal, but finding a property you can make into one. Feel free to hit me up any time and wish you the best of luck in the new year.

@Nicholas Pelletier water is another option. Outside of utilities you can also require that tenants manage snow removal and general lawn care/property maintenance.
