@Saulo Dias which markets are you trying to expand?

Hello Kumar,

We initially started our operations in the southwest Florida region, specifically in Sarasota, and are gradually expanding. We are now focusing on expanding into the northwest and northern Florida areas. If there are any specific markets you think would be a good opportunity for us, we would love to hear your suggestions!

We are growing and adding some in North Port - send me your info I will pass to my facilities manager

Sure thing, I'll send you all the details via PM. Thanks for your interest!

Hi Saulo

I am not sure what market you are in, but BiggerPockets can be a good start.  Be careful not to post adverts here in the forums, rather wait for someone asking for a rec in your area.  There is a classifieds sections.

Outside of BP, there can be local host meetups, network with property managers in your market, as well as marketing yourself on Thumbtack, FB Classifieds, etc.

Best of luck!

Hi Andrew,

Thank you so much for the tips! I noticed that you have a Vacation Rentals business in the area where we operate. What challenges do you usually face when it comes to cleaning services?

We are pretty solid there as we have been operating 8 years and have good relationships with our vendors and we also have in house employees

I'm really glad to hear that! It's great to see that you have a solid foundation and strong relationships, which certainly make a difference. I'm always looking for ways to offer the best to my clients because I understand that cleanliness and organization play a significant role in the property's appearance, future returns, and client referrals.

Sounds like you are a valuable asset to hosts in your area! You are in a great place for host feedback and checking out some local FB groups or hosting groups to get specific feedback. Here are my criteria for finding new cleaners as host
1. Experience with STRs - they at least know or can understand the extra steps it takes to make ready the properties, including photos (cleaners hate taking photos, I've found, even though it protects them from being blamed)
2. Ability to check with referrals - if possible, I like talking to any current hosts or owners they work with.
3. A team - I have been bitten too many times, relying on one cleaner, so every place I hire has to be able to provide at least 2 cleaners in case there is an issue for 1 on a turnover day.

4. Attention to detail—I do test runs.  potentially hiring, either with a trusted person or myself staying in the unit. We will examine after the first initial cleaning to see if they go above and beyond or do the absolute bare minimum.

Perfect, these are valuable tips, and I completely understand the points you made, especially regarding the team. That's why I'm currently training new staff to ensure we can always deliver properties with the required quality standard and efficiency.

By the way, do you think it would be interesting to offer some basic customizations, like themed paper products or towels, during specific holiday months?

Themed items may be a good idea but for the most part guests want a professional clean look. Most hosts stick to white or something similar to a hotel, that guests would expect to see in a rental.

I completely agree! I think something more subtle, like folds in paper, could convey a sense of care and renewal. But also for some specific ones.

There are hundreds of Facebook groups for vacation rental owners in every nook and cranny of the US.  Do a search on FB, find your area, and start posting.

Hi Collin,

Thank you for the advice! I’ll definitely be more assertive with this strategy, as it's important for us to stand out positively among the competition by offering a high-quality service that really makes a difference.

Hello, everyone.

I would like to know the best ways to connect with Vacation Rental Hosts and what they are looking for when they need to hire a professional cleaner for their properties.
