Since you are just starting and aren’t familiar with what’s going on in the market, I would absolutely recommend an investor friendly agent so they can provide you with comps and numbers that you can’t see on your own. And if you don't have a team lined up (contractor, lender, etc.) they most likely will have vendors they can set you up with. Good luck to you :)
