@Grant F.

Yes! I don’t know of any meetups in Loveland. I always have to go to Fort Collins or Denver.

@Jessica Schenk My husband and I were in almost the exact same spot you were a few months ago. We are a few years older than you but were asking ourselves the same questions. I highly recommend house hacking. Get @Craig Curelop’s book on House Hacking and see what you think. We live in Loveland, CO and the prices are much higher than where you are located, so we are house hacking a SF 4bed 2bath. One of the most important reasons I would recommend starting this way is for the experience. You learn so much about real estate investing and landlording by doing!! It’s a fairly low risk way to get into the “game” and you learn so much through the experience!

@Patrick Soukup thanks for sending that link. I will talk to my husband and see if we can make it! Funny thing, I just looked at the invite and I am pretty sure your partner and his wife used to workout at my gym in Loveland.

@Patrick Soukup I second what @Ryan Swain said. I would love to join in on the next meet-up! I am in Loveland so I can zip up to Fort Collins easily. It would be nice to start connecting with NoCo people in person!

Hey @Jon L. I am happy to help in any way that I can. I bought a SF home in west Loveland and am currently house hacking it. It is a bi-level, my husband and I are living in the basement and we are renting the upstairs to 2 tenants. We all share the kitchen (upstairs) and the laundry room (downstairs). So far it is working out great! We are definitely looking for a side by side duplex for our next one though.

Where is the duplex you are looking at? I have lived here for over 20 years so I can help explain different part of town.I am not so handy myself and really don't enjoy dealing with large rehabs, even though they can be much more profitable....I am just not there yet.

Our condo on the NW side of town and got rented fairly quickly, we have some great tenants in there right now. We have had an encouraging start to real estate investing which has helped a lot!

I'd love to chat with you more, and stay updated on your duplex search in Loveland. Feel free to message me directly and we can talk more details!

Hello BP Community!

My husband and I are in the process of closing on our first SFH and renting out our current residence. We are looking for an attorney to review our lease, and other legal documents, and for a CPA that can advise us from the get go. We want to set things up correctly from the start and would love to add some great professionals to our team.

Does anyone have suggestions for high quality attorneys or CPA's in the Loveland or Northern Colorado area?

Thanks in advance!

@Stephen Spradley Thanks for the recommendation. We actually met with @Robert Jones yesterday and from what we have gathered so far, he lives up to all the praise! Congrats on your first property, that’s exciting :)

@Josh Hopwood I will be checking out the BARE youtube channel today and would love to check out a meeting when you're up and running again, appreciate the info!

@Robert Jones I listened to your episode yesterday and really enjoyed hearing your story. Also gained insight on the importance of finding an agent that is investing focused. I have probably walked past your property on Mountain 1,000 times, that is PRIME LOCATION!
