Thank you.

@Marc Weisi thank you very much for the response. It means a lot to me. I actually will be looking into a few meetups in Manhattan to do like you said! Looking forward to starting this journey.

Hello BP,

Does anyone around the NYC, Yonkers, Westchester, Tarrytown, White Plains, Elizabeth NJ, Newark NJ, Patterson NJ area need a helping hand with a rehab? I would like to provide my free labor sweat equity for a chance to even learn how to put up a wall. Willing to help paint, do runs, gather materials, use my Spanish for tenants ( if you can't speak Spanish). Since I work a regular job 9-5 , I am available to help on Saturdays and Sundays. Thank you for your time. Please reach out anytime in DM.

@Scott Schreiber Yonkers is being upscaled right now. I work on ashburton and they just finished making 3 new condo complex. Potential is still there, but for me as a first timer I think I have to look further out the skirts. Sucks but gotta do what I gotta do.

@Brant Richardson I have a time frame where I calculated pay off on March next year. But since my DTI is now 2% i can try and get a cashflow property in NJ or Yonkers area and get a bigger return than the int I pay on the loan.

@Scott Schreiber I was thinking the same thing. NYC/NJ is pretty tough but I can possibly find something close in NJ

@Caleb Heimsoth no other debt at all. I made sure I brought my DTI low enough at 2% currently.

Hey BP family. I am currently in a situation where I need to make a decision. I graduated college with 42 k of debt and brought that down to 17 k by aggressively paying monthly, refinanced to 4% int, and getting a new job. My DTI is 32% and credit score is 748 monthly debt payment is 128 now. I make 54k in NYC and currently living with parents ( basic millennial) but I'm taking advantage of a deal with my father to pay off debt instead of rent. Given this, I'm looking for your opinion. Should I pay off the 17 k aggressively or save up money for a multifamily using brrrr strategy. Looking at Yonkers NY or Jersey since NYC is impossible.
