@Sebastian Naczas, I've noticed the massive development due to nanotech, do you work in that field or know of other engineers that do?  Do they live downtown or out in the suburbs (i.e. Colonie or up the north-way) My thought is with the level of restaurants (unavailable back in 2000) springing up along with distilleries, breweries etc. I think its somewhat a growing area.  @Adam Clark your thoughts on people moving to Albany?  Any trend in professions of these people?

As an UAlbany Alumni, heading up recently I noticed a lot of movement and growth on Broadway, with the cider and cross fit etc. springing up.  I've also read about new development coming up (mixed use multi story construction) Anybody on BP investing in that area?

Hey guys, former UAlbany Alum. I was in town two months back and notice a lot of people around South Broadway and near Nine Pin Cider, a cross fit, and a new development going up... Is that a hot area? Any "hipsters" moving into downtown Albany?

Nice, house hack. We're putting up a 2br in Yorktown on the market next month, good to see Westchester investors on here, who says it can't be done in that market.

Wow a real local forum! I'm living in NYC but the family (business) is currently wrapping up a rehab in Yorktown (where they/business live) and looking to do more in the surrounding area.  Not sure if we're going to rent yet or cash out and sell.  I'm looking to get more into the family business myself.  Other family members have multi families in Poughkeepsie/Newburgh, so we're pretty familiar with the area.  Glad to see a few guys on here in the area!
