Currently in the process of creating a short term rental property management company in MN. My business partner is a real estate agent with a brokerage in our area. Does business from the company have to go through the brokerage he is a part of? Or can we file an LLC and operate because he simply has his real estate license in the state of MN?

It was a great group with some great momentum, and I'm really looking forward to getting it started back up when things return to normal. We had a monthly presenter to educate on a topic, and beer and snacks and good social time. Seems like forever ago, but I know we'll get it back up and running when we can.

Hey Kevin! Let me know when you get those meetings up and running again, I would love to take part!

Hi Matt, I am an investor in the Duluth MN area. There is no rei groups here. The closest one is in the cities. MnReia, as you probably are aware of.

Hi @Tonia Hill: I'm interested in purchasing in Ely, or Duluth.  Do you know of any contractors who deal in rehabs or flips?  Some of the properties I'm looking at need some TLC, but all of my contractor contacts are in the Devner area (Where I currently live.)

Thank you,

Lucas

@Lucas Weismann - Grand Rapids investor here.. You're going to have a tough time finding a contractor in Ely that will participate in rehabs or flips. Duluth would probably be your better option if that's your primary goal!
